PAUSE Retreats (Parents Advocating Understanding and Supporting Each Other)

A retreat designed for Moms/female caregivers who have children that are deaf/hard of hearing. Attendees share, learn, and connect in an intimate retreat setting that allows them the opportunity to experience respite. This overnight gathering is filled with information, time for relaxation, connection with other parents, and self-care. Attendees go home feeling more confident, supported, inspired, renewed, and better able to advocate for their child. Serves about 20 Moms/female caregivers per event.

  • Underwrite the full cost of a retreat: $8,000 (20 attendees)

  • Cover the cost for 5 attendees: $2000

Parents’ Night Out

These small gatherings include time for caregivers and parents of deaf/hard of hearing children to connect with other community members on a similar journey. Through this experience parents build a support network within their own communities, share and access resources, and nurture friendships that provide an opportunity for their children to connect with other deaf/hh children in the future. Unlike the PAUSE overnight retreat,  this event encourages engagement with Dads and other family members who support the child who is deaf/hard of hearing. Serves about 25 parents/caregivers per event.
